The adventure which lies ahead

Homeschooling our children has been a well discussed topic around our home for quite a while now. Like most major decisions my husband and I make, we discuss them for months sometimes even years. This topic has been on our lips for years.
The subject of homeschooling began on a mission trip my husband and I took to Tijuana when I was pregnant with Princess. We were building homes for people whom appeared to have nothing, (but to talk with them they had everything they needed). My husband and I were paired with another couple from our church of whom we did not know very well. The wife and I began talking and I learned they had homeschooled all of their children. We talked for hours about what an amazing experience it was and how blessed they were by the opportunity God had given them and the decision they made.
Handsome Hubby and I began to discuss this opportunity of homeschooling our own children. We brought the idea up with several of our close friends and family. Most of them thought we were crazy. Crazy may even be an understatement.
God did not call us to conform to what the world does though. We want to be transformed into what He wants.  (Romans 12:2)
We have now been homeschooling for three years.  Princess (7) is in 2nd-3rd grade, Buttercup (4) is in Kindergarten, Tinkerbell (2) is doing pre- pre-school, and our Lil' Man (11 months) does a great job getting into all the homeschool baskets.
There are plenty of hard days, but my husband and I would not change any of it.  I am so glad my husband supports this endeavor.  He walks beside me all the way.  Thank you babe!
